Irfan Mirza

Based in the United States, Irfan Mirza’s art is part of his quest and intellectual longing for creative ideas. Using colours, lines, dots, shapes and words together in particular orders, his works explores the universal principles of life, faith, prayer and beauty and the Divinity that inspires particular feeling through certain lettering.

Irfan’s work is both traditional but also expression-based calligraphy incorporating elements of graffiti. This fusion is very much an attempt to bridge the gap between the Eastern and Western cultures to which he very much relates and his own desire to create a language through his art that can be understood universally.
