Mahrukh Bashir is a London-based traditional Islamic artist who exquisite works are inspired by the secrets if geometry, colour and patterns of the natural world. Mahrukh’s method of learning is based on a very traditional and special discipline of learning from a master of the arts who in turn has learned from their own master.

Mahrukh has learned from a chain of lineage that goes all the way back to the Mughal, Ottoman and even the Persian empire. And the result is evident in her sensationally beautiful and detailed work. Mahrukh’s work has been exhibited locally and internationally.

She currently works on community outreach projects and offers local workshops. She is also a visiting tutor at the prestigious Princes School of Traditional Arts in London.

We are very fortunate to have her works here on IslamicArtPrints.com
