Raanaz Shahid is a multi-award winning British artist, Manchester born and now residing in Derby UK. Raanaz’s work is a true reflection of her own identity; heavily influenced by her British, Asian and Islamic roots which have allowed her to create an incomparable style that is entirely unique and entirely her own. A firebrand in fusion works, Raanaz works tirelessly to create pieces that fuse elements of the East with modern elements of Western life. The result is incredibly powerful, with unique and modern artwork that has foundations steeped in the Islamic tradition.

Raanaz comes from serious artistic pedigree. As an honours graduate of Surface Pattern (with Textiles), a degree she gained from the University of Central Lancashire, UK - Raanaz has studied at a forensic level the methodologies and techniques of screen printing, ceramics, photography and graphic design, to name but a few.

In 2015, international recognition followed with Raanaz’s first opportunity to showcase her work at the World Art Show, Dubai as well as the Global Islamic Economic Summit - also in Dubai. The latter was organised in conjunction with Thompson Reuters and the Dubai Chamber and included esteemed guests such as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rasid Al Maktoum. 2016 culminated with the much coveted Art & Culture Awareness Award at the British Muslim Awards and saw Raanaz beating off stiff competition within a highly competitive category.  And 2017 saw the pinnacle of Raanaz’s professional career to-date.
