Possessing a lifelong love affair with Arabic Calligraphy, Rashida first began learning about calligraphy at the age of 15, whilst studying at an Islamic College in South Africa. This was a brief but highly influential period of exploration and introduction to this art form. Thankfully, since 2016, Rashida came back to the art-form that gave her so much pleasure and she has continued to paint since then. She is a great advocate of using art as therapy, firmly believing the healing powers of creativity and faith. And that is the message that she hopes to convey through her art.
